  • I took my laptop in to get a faulty DVD drive replaced. At the same time Altech Computers gave the inside of the machine a good clean out removing no end of dust etc from it which means it now runs MUCH more quietly and cooler. They also cleaned up my start up routines and installed better anti virus software. Excellent value for £70 (including the cost of the new dvd drive). I would definitely recommend

  • I had a hard drive failure on my laptop and my backups had failed. Altech recovered my business critical data from the old hard drive and copied it to a new hard drive. Altech were also prepared to meet me out of normal office hours. I am satisfied with the results and would use them again

  • In the past, I've been 'held hostage' by techie people who talk over my head. I clicked with Altech Computer Services from the start because they are so down to earth and more than willing to do a great job for their clients. Altech Computer Services is a professional company with a real commitment to provide excellent technical expertise and incredibly good customer service.   • My desktop PC wouldn't switch on and there weren't any power lights on the front. A friend suggested I call Altech Computer Services as they said they did a good job. They came round to my house to have a look, they got it working again which only took half an hour and they were cheaper than most of the ads in the Yellow Pages.
  • I had a similar problem to the last reviewer seems like these are the guys that can do. Not to bore you. I had a problem with my hard drive, took it to a number of computer repair company’s including the dreaded pcworld. I was told it was unrecoverable, one company told me they may be able to recover it at a cost of £695. the data is critical but I could not afford that cost. Altech Computer Services recovered the data for £85 (bargain). I even received a follow up call ensuring I was happy and the data was intact. As a techno phobic I don’t want to be bored with the technical reason why they can’t fix it, I just want it fixed, well these are definitely the guys for the job. I would also like to add from the go a head I felt my data was safe this is also something very important to me as a doctor.   • Very quick service. I had previously took my laptop to a local repair shop, i was told it was the mainboard (not worth repairing) i didn't believe this to be true so took it to altech, they discovered it was the laptop fuse didn't even know there was one. when all else fails and your told to buy another laptop i'd recommend trying these guys first they actually no what there talking about unlike some others.   • Lee was very efficient and relaxed. He immediately identified the problem and fixed it then told me what to do if the problem returned. He also cleaned up the machine and updated the virus checker. He was very pleasant knowledgeable and reassuring. Very good service".
